A developer is seeking to build a 28-story, 285-foot apartment tower on a vacant lot in North Harlem, city records show.

HARLEM, NY — A developer filed permits with the city on Tuesday to construct a 28-story apartment tower on a vacant lot in Hamilton Heights, records show.
The permits call for a 285-foot-tall building at 620 West 153rd St., a midblock site between Broadway and Riverside Drive. It would include 238 apartments with an average size of about 884 square feet, as well as an 11,700-square-foot community facility.
The permits were filed by Brooklyn-based J Frankl architects, whose nearby projects include a mixed-use tower completed last year at 62 West 125th St.

The new building is pending zoning approval.
