Plans Filed For 2 High-Rises On Harlem Block
The twin 12-story buildings will take up nearly an entire block on West 124th Street.

HARLEM, NY — Developers have filed plans with the City Department of Buildings for two high-rise developments on the same Central Harlem block.
The CS Real Estate Group is applying to construct two neighboring 12-story buildings at 212 and 224 West 124th Street — located between Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard and Frederick Douglass Boulevard — according to development plans. The twin high-rises will stand 112-feet-tall and will both contain 108 apartment units, according to plans.
Both buildings will be entirely zoned for residential use with each containing 113,352 square feet of space dedicated to apartments, according to building plans. The average apartment in both buildings will be about 1049 square feet large.

The new apartment buildings will be bare-bones in terms of amenities. The only listed amenities on development plans include bicycle storage space on the buildings' ground floors.
While the buildings appears to be identical in terms of measurable, there are different architects listed on plans for each building. The firm Body Lawson Associates is listed as the architect behind one of the buildings and the firm Fischer & Makooi Architects is listed as the architect behind the second building.

The buildings will span nearly the entirety of West 124th Street between Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard and Frederick Douglass Bouelvard. Plans to demolish existing buildings on the block have not been filed, according to city records.
