Plans Filed For New 7-Story Building On Harlem Corner

The building will be zoned for residential, commercial and community uses.

HARLEM, NY — Developers have filed plans with the city Department of Buildings to construct a new seven-story building on a vacant lot in Harlem, according to city records.

The new building will rise 70-feet-tall on West 146th Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues, according to development plans. The development will be zoned for residential, community and commercial uses, according to the plans.

The residential component will take up more than half of the new building's total space. The development will contain 14 apartments occupying 9,561 square feet. The average apartment unit will be about 682-square feet large, according to the development plans. The building will feature a separate residential lobby and rooftop recreational space for tenants, according to plans.

The community facility will occupy 4,793 square feet on the building's second and third floors. The space will be used for ambulatory and doctors offices, according to building plans.

The new development will also feature retail space. The space will take up 1,647 square feet on the building's ground floor and cellar, according to building plans.

The developers behind the new building are listed as Atomatic Contracting Inc. on files submitted with the city. Sion Consulting Engineering is listed as the designer of the new development, according to city records.
