SEE IT: Man Runs Down Harlem Boulevard, Firing Gunshots
Police are looking for a man captured on video firing shots in the middle of Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Boulevard on a recent afternoon.
HARLEM, NY — Police on Thursday asked for help finding a man captured on video firing gunshots in the middle of a busy Harlem avenue earlier this month.
The attempted shooting happened around 1:40 p.m. on Aug. 1, when the unidentified man began running up Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Boulevard near West 149th Street.
Footage shows him pointing the gun at another unidentified man who runs across the avenue and takes cover in the central median. The shooter, his face covered with a mask, continues firing before jogging back toward the sidewalk.

The suspect fled on foot to 148th Street, where he got on an red and black scooter and drove south on Adam Clayton Powell, police said. There were no reported injuries from the shooting.
Police described the suspect as an adult man, 5 feet 11 inches tall, last seen wearing a black T-shirt, shorts, red sneakers and a black balaclava over his face.
