SEE IT: Neil Patrick Harris's Harlem Brownstone Sells For Record $7M

Here's a look inside the ornate Central Harlem townhouse, which the actor just sold for a record-high sum.

HARLEM, NY — More than a year after it was first put on the market, Neil Patrick Harris's Harlem brownstone has been sold — for a record neighborhood sum.

The brownstone, on Fifth Avenue near East 126th Street, was sold on Aug. 18 for just under $7 million, public records show.

According to the New York Post, which first reported the news, that marks the highest-ever sum for a Harlem home.

The actor and his husband, David Burtka, had purchased the five-bedroom home for $3.6 million in 2013. Built in 1908, the 8,000-square-foot townhouse includes six bathrooms, 12-foot-high ceilings, dark-wood paneling and three gas fireplaces, among other features.

Its four outdoor spaces include a 500-square-foot terraced garden. Inside, a wood staircase leads up to a "loft-like" living and dining room that overlooks Fifth Avenue, with an adjacent kitchen featuring custom cabinets, a huge countertop island, a pair of six-burner ranges and multiple refrigerators, according to the listing.

Harris and Burtka renovated the home during their stay, but began spending time in the Hamptons during the pandemic, prompting them to decide to sell the Harlem home, according to the Post.

The townhouse buyer is identified in city records as James Regis Whitner Jr. The sale had been listed with Vickey Barron and Pacey Barron of Compass

The next resident will also get to enjoy a furnished roof deck, home theater, and an outdoor jacuzzi, according to the listing.
