Woman Slashed In Random Harlem Attack, Police Say
A man passed the woman on West 125th Street before turning around and slashing her on the face.

HARLEM, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man wanted for slashing a woman in the face on a Harlem street, police said.
The suspect was walking down West 125th Street on Monday night when he passed a 48-year-old woman in front of the Apollo Theater, police said. The man then turned around, approached the woman from behind and slashed her with a sharp object, police said.
The motive behind the attack is unclear.

The woman suffered slashing injuries to the right side of her face, police said. She was taken to Harlem Hospital for treatment.
The suspect fled the scene and has not been caught, police said. Police released photos of the man taken by security cameras on West 125th Street (seen above).
