Woman Stabbed In Neck Outside East Harlem Bodega: Police

A woman stabbed another woman on an East Harlem street during a broad-daylight fight that started inside a bodega, police said.

The assault happened around 3:16 p.m. at the corner of East 109th Street and Madison Avenue. Minutes earlier, the 28-year-old victim had gotten into an argument with the other woman inside the bodega Zaid Gourmet, police said.

EAST HARLEM, NY — A woman stabbed another woman on an East Harlem street during a broad-daylight fight on Thursday, police said.

The assault happened around 3:16 p.m. at the corner of East 109th Street and Madison Avenue.

Minutes earlier, the 28-year-old victim had gotten into an argument with the other woman inside Zaid Gourmet, a bodega on the corner, according to police. The two women knew each other, police said.

As the fight spilled out onto the sidewalk, the victim was stabbed in the neck and suffered cuts to the side of her face, police said. She was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital in stable condition.

The alleged assailant has not been arrested.
