5-Week Hutchinson River Parkway Lane Closure Starts Wednesday Morning

The roadwork will stretch from Harrison to Scarsdale, but work isn't planned during morning or evening rush hours.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — A major Westchester highway will see construction crews and lane restriction for the next several weeks.

The NYS Department of Transportation announced that a southbound lane of the Hutchinson River Parkway is scheduled to be closed for five weeks for construction work, starting Wednesday morning.

The southbound lane is expected to close between Exit 14 (State Route 127) in Harrison and Exit 13 (Mamaroneck Ave.) in Scarsdale.

The scheduled roadwork will take place on weekdays between Wednesday, Feb. 15 through Friday, March 24, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., weather permitting, according to the agency.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver's license.
