Purchase, New York - (December, 2024) – Employees of Broadview at Purchase College gave the senior living community high marks in a recent survey conducted to measure work satisfaction.

More than 100 employees of the senior living community on the campus of Purchase College completed an employee satisfaction survey designed by a national research firm.

The results were that Broadview received the Choice Community Award by Holleran Consulting, ranking them among the top workplaces in life plan communities nationwide in employee engagement.

“When employees are happy our residents are happy and that is our goal,’’ said Ashley Wade, Executive Director at Broadview at Purchase College. “Our employees told us that they like their jobs, respect their supervisors, have a good relationship with coworkers, and get positive feedback. These are all signs of a healthy work community.’’

The survey completed by employees in November was designed to measure factors that lead to employee engagement, according to Holleran.

According to the survey results, Broadview scored above the mean compared to other senior living communities in most categories, scoring above the 85th percentile in My Opinion Counts; Opportunity to Learn and Grow, and Good Communication.

Holleran has conducted more than 156,000 resident and employee surveys, from over 300 organizations across 36 states, DC and Canada, all completed within the last three years.

“We have a culture that promotes open and honest communication and that’s an important factor in developing trust,’’ said Human Resources Director Natasica Orru. “When employees are engaged they are more productive, there is lower turnover and absenteeism is reduced. We will review the results of the survey and work to improve our performance in all areas.’’
