JSX 'Semi-Private' Bahamas Flights Coming To Westchester This Winter

Private terminals, no lines at customs and no waiting at departure, much like flying on a private jet, for a fraction of the cost.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — One of Westchester County Airport's newest and most unique carriers will offer seasonal "semi-private" flights to the Bahamas beginning in December.

JSX will offer its first-ever flights from Miami/Opa-locka (OPF) to Marsh Harbour (MHH), beginning on Dec. 14, and the plane will start its journey from Westchester County (HPN) with a quick stop in Miami.

New JSX flights between Westchester County and Marsh Harbour will operate 5 days per week on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Customers will make a brief stop in Opa-locka before continuing on the same aircraft to Marsh Harbour. Introductory fares start at $849 one-way and  include at least two checked bags (weight/size restrictions apply), free in-flight Wi-Fi, onboard cocktails, and business-class legroom.  Customers may check in just 45 minutes before their flight from JSX’s private terminal located at Atlantic Aviation (West), at 67 Tower Road in West Harrison.

"We are steadfast in our commitment to easing access to vacation-worthy destinations such as the Bahamas by offering the most convenient and hassle-free travel possible," JSX CEO Alex Wilcox said in a statement announcing the new route. "We are thrilled to announce that we are expanding our flight network to the beautiful beachtown of Marsh Harbour, allowing Customers the opportunity to skip long lines in style, with comfort, and ease."

The semi-private public charter service, JSX, expanded its East Coast network with new flights for the first time this summer linking Hudson Valley travelers to three new vacation destinations with all of the perks of flying private, but without the hefty price tag.

New round-trip flight service on JSX rolled out in June from Westchester County (HPN) to Nashville (BNA), alongside new seasonal flight service to Portland, Maine (PWM) and Martha’s Vineyard (MVY).

Flying "semi-private" might not make you feel like a Kardashian, but JSX says it does have its benefits, including flying out of private terminals on 30-seat jets, business class legroom for all, streamlined security, and even hot towel service. Perhaps most importantly, passengers can simply hop on the plane and go in style, arriving just 20 minutes before departure, skipping the long lines and waiting.
