PURCHASE, NY — Arguably the biggest idea to come out of the Hudson Valley is making a triumphant return in time for spring, but the Purchase-based company still refuses to call its magnum opus "Peepsi."
Purchase-based Pepsico announced that PEPSI x PEEPS, the "partnership that broke the internet in 2021," has returned for 2023, and the marshmallow-flavored cola is now available in stores for the first time ever. The company is inviting fans everywhere to usher in spring with the one-of-a-kind treat, available for a limited time only.
In 2021, PEPSI x PEEPS made its debut, becoming one of the most talked about collaborations and pop culture moments since Justin and Janet. PEPSI x PEEPS trended everywhere, from Twitter to late night television. The cans even sold for hundreds of dollars on sites like Ebay. The unlikely marriage was only available for 3,000 select fans at the time, but the idea intrigued cola drinkers everywhere and drove consumer demand, which is why PEPSI x PEEPS have decided to "make their relationship status official" and deliver the beverage to retail shelves across the U.S.

The company describes the unexpected flavor combination in PEPSI x PEEPS as a "surprisingly delicious beverage combining the refreshing taste of Pepsi cola with the classic sweet PEEPS."

The special spring cola offering comes in an instantly recognizable PEEPS-inspired design in vibrant yellow packaging.

To celebrate the limited-time product launch, PEPSI x PEEPS is borrowing Snapchat’s innovative augmented reality technology to send fans on a virtual egg hunt for a chance to unlock prizes, including a spring trip for two and exclusive PEPSI x PEEPS merchandise.
