Traffic was backed up on the Long Island Expressway Thursday morning due to a five-car accident just east of Exit 58 between Hauppauge and Islandia.
Police said two people suffered non-life threatening injuries from the crash, which occurred around 9 a.m. on the westbound side.
Traffic was backed up from Route 111 to Exit 61.
