A statue of Jesus Christ was taken from a Nativity scene displayed outside the H. Lee Dennison Building this week, county officials say.
HAUPPAUGE, NY — Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine and Suffolk County Police Commissioner Kevin Catalina are asking for the public’s help after a statue of Jesus Christ was stolen from a Nativity scene displayed outside the H. Lee Dennison Building, officials said.
The figure was taken earlier this week from the holiday display, which is set up annually on the Hauppauge campus and donated by St. Michael the Archangel Chapel.
County officials are asking anyone with information about the stolen statue to contact Suffolk County Police.
