It's never too early to start looking for a summer job. 

The Town of Smithtown is now accepting applications for its 2014 summer job positions. A complete list of job openings is posted on the town's website as of last Wednesday. 

The seasonal positions available range from part-time to full-time work. Most jobs require an applicant to be a minimum of 16 years old. 

Here's a brief listing of the job openings, open until filled: 

  • Clerk Typist/Cashier/Student Intern 
  • Laborer - Parks
  • Laborer - Pools
  • Landscape Laborer - Parks
  • Lifeguard - Beach
  • Lifeguard - Pool
  • Park Attendant II - Public Safety
  • Recreation Aide
  • Recreation Aide II
  • Water Safety Instructor
