TGI Fridays Closes In Islandia
The restaurant is one of 36 nationwide - and one of three on Long Island - to close.

ISLANDIA, NY — TGI Fridays of Islandia has permanently closed.
The website of the restaurant, at 3045 Express Drive North, is down, and the eatery is no longer taking orders.
The Islandia TGI Fridays is one 36 "underperforming locations" across the nation to close, the company announced in a news release.

Two other TGI Fridays on Long Island, in Massapequa Park and Bay Shore, have also closed, a TGI Friday spokeswoman said.
TGI Fridays announced it is offering more than 1,000 transfer opportunities, which represents over 80% of total impacted employees.
