The updated Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech boosters are set to be administered for two days next week. Here's what you should know.
HAUPPAUGE, NY — Suffolk County is preparing to dole out 200 doses of the updated Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech bivalent coronavirus boosters, Executive Steve Bellone announced Wednesday.
The shots are set to be administered at the H. Lee Dennison Building in Hauppauge on Monday, September 12, and Thursday, September 15, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
“We are excited that we now have updated vaccines that will help protect our residents from the newer variants that have been circulating,” Bellone said. “It is clear that the COVID-19 vaccines have helped to reduce hospital and ICU admissions throughout the country. We need to continue to lead the way in keeping our vaccination rates high and hospitalizations as low as possible.”
