Group Attacks 3 People On Downtown Brooklyn Subway, Police Say

A group of three people attacked two women and a teenager riding a C train on June 16, police said.

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN, NY — A group of people attacked two women and a teenage boy who were riding a Downtown Brooklyn subway last month, police said.

Two men and a woman were riding a Brooklyn-bound C train on June 16 when they got into an argument with a 45-year-old woman, an 18-year-old woman and a 15-year-old man at about 3:45 p.m. near Willoughby and Jay streets, the NYPD said.

The argument turned physical when the group started to attack the three people, with the two men hitting the victims with a walking cane and the woman punching them, police said.

When the subway got at the Jay Street station, the attackers got off and ran away in an unknown direction, authorities said.

Police described the first man as in his 20s, 5-feet 7-inches tall and weighing 155 pounds. The second was described as a 5-feet 10-inch tall, 165-pound man in his 20s.

Police said the female was 5-feet 1-inch tall, 155 pounds in her 20s.
