Man Found Dead In Brooklyn Heights Basement: Cops

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in the basement of a building on Joralemon Street.

Officers got a 911 call about an unconscious man in the basement at 25 Joralemon Street just before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, police said. When they arrived, they found the adult male, who has not yet been identified, unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The building is a one-story former pumphouse built in 1902 that has since been converted into a residential building, records show.

Police said the investigation into the death is ongoing and that the Medical Examiner will determine cause of death.
