1. Late Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson was honored by the co-naming of a street in Downtown Brooklyn. He is considered to be one of the city's first "progressive" prosecutors, and was a champion for criminal justice during his time in office. Kenneth P. Thompson Way is located along the Jay St. Roadway between Willoughby and Johnson streets. (Brooklyn Paper)
2. Artist Tamara Kostianovsky weaves together multi-colors repurposed textiles and fabrics to resemble cow carcasses. She then shapes them into forms ranging from tree trunks to young plants. 3. In a recent interview, Lindsay Stuart, neighbor and owner of the Glam Expressway boutique on Front St. in DUMBO, talks about what makes her business unique.
