- Late Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson was honored by the co-naming of a street in Downtown Brooklyn. He is considered to be one of the city's first "progressive" prosecutors, and was a champion for criminal justice during his time in office. Kenneth P. Thompson Way is located along the Jay St. Roadway between Willoughby and Johnson streets. (Brooklyn Paper)
- Artist Tamara Kostianovsky weaves together multi-colors repurposed textiles and fabrics to resemble cow carcasses. She then shapes them into forms ranging from tree trunks to young plants. - In a recent interview, Lindsay Stuart, neighbor and owner of the Glam Expressway boutique on Front St. in DUMBO, talks about what makes her business unique.
