• Governor Hochul announces $32 million to improve road safety across New York (cbs6albany.com) — Herkimer County is set to receive part of a $3.6 million Mohawk Valley package to upgrade multiple roadways, aiming to cut deadly crashes from vehicles drifting out of their lanes. Funded through a federal highway safety program, the work will add guide rails, rumble strips, clearer markings, and better signage, as part of New York’s broader push toward zero traffic deaths.
