$6 Million Goes To Beautifying Downtown Hicksville
The enhancements and upgrades will take place in 2025.

HICKSVILLE, NY — Hicksville's downtown is getting a facelift in 2025 that officials say will beautify the area with the expansion of open space.
The Town of Oyster Bay board authorized more than $6 million for the Downtown Revitalization Project

- Festival Plaza: Construction of a raised walking path with landscaping, seating areas and safer pedestrian connection to the LIRR station
- Kennedy Park Expansion: Transforming an existing parking lot into a greenspace for outdoor activities like concerts and pop-up vendors
- The Underline: Expansion of the area under the train trestle between Newbridge Rd. and Broadway for pop-up shops and outdoor cafes.
- Beautification Upgrades: New lighting, trees, benches, trash cans and crosswalks will be built throughout the area.
"A renaissance is coming to the Hicksville community thanks to public and private investments in the community," Supervisor Joseph Saladino said. "Together, we're enhancing and transforming the Hicksville business district into a vibrant downtown that millennials, families and empty-nesters desire - with housing, restaurants and office space near public transportation."
Additionally, five projects through the public sector are expected to break ground in 2025 and 2026.

Fieldstone at N. Broadway, featuring 104 new residential opportunities and restaurant space. West Cherry Townhouses, with 13 new residential opportunities.
West Cherry Street Development will have 20 new residential opportunities.
Chroma Paint, featuring 30 residential opportunities along with a rooftop restaurant.
Bank of America Building will create 106 residential opportunities.
