Car Thief, 16, Nabbed After Foot Pursuit In Nassau: Cops
The teenager was arrested on Monday night.

A 16-year-old girl was arrested for stealing a car following a foot chase with officers in Hicksville on Monday, police say.
According to authorities, officers began following a 2015 Nissan southbound on Route 106 around 10:41 p.m. after receiving a report it was stolen earlier in the day. Police say they observed two people exit the vehicle who then began running away in the area of Route 106 and Salisbury Drive.
The two 16-year-old girls were placed into custody following a brief foot pursuit with the officer, who had help from Nassau County Police Aviation, Bureau of Special Operations Unit and the K9 Unit.

The driver Anyelina Rodriguez, of Amityville, was arrested and her passenger was released following an investigation.
Rodriguez was charged with criminal possession of a stolen auto, and multiple vehicular traffic law violations. She was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday.
