Charity Chicken Wing Eating Contest Returns For Third Year
The event will benefit Camp Good Mourning, a non-profit helping children deal with the loss of a parent or sibling.
HICKSVILLE, NY — You can sign up now to participate in a chicken wing eating contest that will benefit a good cause.
Camp Good Mourning will be holding its third annual Team Wing Eating Challenge on Feb. 4, but the deadline to sign up is Jan. 27. Camp Good Mourning is a Long Island non-profit that provides free overnight and weekend camp programs for children ages 7-17 dealing with the loss of a parent, guardian or sibling.
The contest will be held on Feb. 4 at 2:30 p.m. at Levittown Hall, located at 201 Levittown Parkway in Hicksville.

There are requirements that prospective wing-eaters need to meet to register. Teams of two need pay $70 to register, and also have to have at least four pledges of at least $25 each backing them.
There will be trophies for the best wing-eaters and the biggest fundraisers, as well as raffles, a lotto pop-off and more. And, of course, tons of chicken wings.

All of the proceeds from the event will benefit Camp Good Mourning.
