East Meadow Man Seriously Hurt After Driving Into Hicksville Home

Police say he tried to make a left turn and his car left the road and drove right into the home.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A man is in serious condition after driving into a Hicksville home Tuesday night, Nassau County police said.

According to police, a 54-year-old East Meadow man was driving a 2010 Nissan Rogue on Newbridge Road at 11 p.m. Tuesday. Police say the driver tried to make a left turn, but his car left the road and struck a home on Newbridge Road.

The driver was taken to Nassau University Medical Center and is in serious condition. There was one person in the home at the time, and they were unhurt.
