House Fire In Hicksville, Local Crews Respond: FD

The occupants were unharmed, fire marshals say.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A house fire broke out in Hicksville on Sunday, the Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office said.

The Bethpage Fire Department was alerted to a house fire at Elliot Drive at 2:26 p.m. on Sunday, fire marshals said.

The four occupants self-evacuated and were unharmed, fire marshals said.

According to fire marshals, the fire was on the second floor of the home and was brought under control in about 30 minutes.

The Bethpage FD was assisted by the Hicksville, Wantagh, and Levittown Fire Departments, fire marshals said.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, fire marshals said.
