Voters Approve Hicksville Budget, Elect Trustees

Residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote on a school budget and elect board members.

Hicksville residents approved a 2018-19 school budget on Tuesday.

The $135,686,223 budget passed with 983 yes votes and 343 no votes, according to the school district. The budget is a 0.67 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 1.89 percent tax levy increase.

Residents also elected Phil Heckler and Brenda Judson to the Hicksville Board of Education.
