Nassau Crash: Motorcyclist Dies After Collision With Car

The motorcyclist was hospitalized in critical condition and died of their injuries, police said.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A motorcyclist collided with a car in Hicksville and died at a hospital.

The crash happened around 4:45 p.m. Monday on Jerusalem Avenue and Gem Court, officials said. The motorcyclist was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in critical condition and died of their injuries, police confirmed. The motorcyclist's name wasn't immediately released.

The sedan driver was not seriously hurt.

The Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department and Nassau County police both rushed to the crash and Jerusalem Avenue was closed in both directions while investigators pieced together what happened.
