Nassau High School Classrooms Damaged In Break-In: Police

Police say two men were found on the third floor and arrested. Both face burglary and criminal mischief charges.

HICKSVILLE, NY — Two people have been arrested in connection with a break-in and damage to classrooms at Hicksville High School.

Police rushed to the school when an alarm sounded around 4:40 a.m. Sunday, Nassau County police said. Security told officers that two people broke into the school through a window and had damaged multiple classrooms.

Police found Khan Malik, 34, of Long Island Avenue in Medford, and Nimra Khawaja, 28, of 6th Street in Hicksville, on the third floor. Both were arrested without incident and face charges of 3rd-degree burglary and 2nd-degree criminal mischief.

Malik and Khawaja were scheduled to appear in Mineola court Monday.
