Hicksville High School Students Selected To Perform At NYSSMA All-State Festival

Four students were chosen to perform at this year's event.

HICKSVILLE, NY — Four students from Hicksville High School have been selected to perform at the 2025 NYSSMA All-State Festival.

This statewide event will take place in December in Rochester, NY.

The following students earned selection to the festival:

  • Emma Dang – All-State Orchestra (violin)
  • Jillian Galea – All-State Choir (soprano)
  • Aerie Lim – All-State Orchestra (violin)
  • Lauren Mason – All-State Orchestra (flute)

Junior Emma Dang performed two solos and earned a perfect score of 100 on violin and a 98 on jazz piano. Junior Jillian Galea performed a Soprano II solo and earned a perfect score. Junior Aerie Lim performed a violin performance, earning a perfect score, as well. Senior Lauren Mason earned perfect scores on her flute and piccolo performances.
