Hicksville Public Schools Honor Board Of Education Members And Community Partners
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ted Fulton gave his appreciation to many community members.

HICKSVILLE, NY — Hicksville Board of Education members and community partners were recognized in honor of Board of Education Recognition Week at Wednesday’s Hicksville Board of Education meeting.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ted Fulton gave his appreciation to the members, including ex officio student board member Christina D’Costa.
Student representatives from each of the district’s seven elementary schools, as well as a few additional Hicksville Middle and High School students, attended the meeting to give their appreciation. The representatives presented certificates to each board member.

The students shared their thanks for the board’s leadership and commitment to the school and community, a release said.
Along with recognizing board members, Dr. Fulton also honored community partners who make a difference in the Hicksville community.

He recognized the WINGS Alternative High School program for its support in supplying healthy snacks and drinks to students.
He thanked Children’s Hope India, in collaboration with Ms. Manjrekar, who serves on the district’s Advisory Board, for helping enhance Hicksville students’ educational experience.
The Kiwanis Club of Hicksville and the Kiwanis Foundation of Hicksville, Inc. were also feted. Under the leadership of President Edward Saueracker, the groups donated food, clothing, and gift cards, as well as support to fundraisers, food drives, and more. The groups also spearhead a scholarship program where they award between $9,000 to $10,000 annually.
Dr. Fulton continued by giving his thanks to community members:
- Horizon Healthcare staffing representatives Victoria Barodin (Hicksville High School alumna and payroll coordinator) and Ashley Clarke (scheduling specialist).
- Harry Malhotra, president of the New York South Asian Chamber of Commerce and executive director of the South Asian Advisory Board.
- Niti Shah, community ambassador for Hicksville Family Partnership Program and Hicksville community leader.
- Tom Bruno, Director of Hicksville Boys and Girls Club.
- The Hicksville Council of PTAs, including Kim Raspanti, Marilyn Kneski, Carolina Molina, and Erin Guida.
“On behalf of the district, thank you,” Dr. Fulton said. “We are grateful for all of these partnerships and appreciate your continued support of Hicksville students and families.”
