Hicksville Shows Compassion With Kindness Tree

As part of an annual tradition, students and staff at Hicksville Middle School pledged to show and treat others with kindness by attaching signed leaves to the Kindness Tree.

The Kindness Tree hangs on the wall of one of the school’s hallways, and will remain up through the school year. It is a colorful and creative way to remind students about the importance of showing compassion in an environment that they feel socially and emotionally safe.
