Hicksville Youth Firefighters Spread Holiday Cheer To Sick Kids
Juniors Captain Rohan Mahatra called the event a great experience that usually puts a big smile on children's faces.

HICKSVILLE, NY — Youth firefighters in Hicksville spent Christmas Eve giving back to children who are sick and in the hospital.
On Dec. 1, the Hicksville Junior Firefighters prepare a department pancake breakfast for all Hicksville Fire Department members. Fire trucks spread holiday cheer with Santa happily waving, wishing the community a happy holiday season and passing out popcorn bags.
The breakfast, a tradition dating back to 2014, aims to raise money to buy toys for sick children who are being treated in the pediatric ward at Nassau University Medical Center and can't be home for the Christmas holiday.
