Home Aide Arrested For 2015 Incidents On LI: Police

Police say she damaged property, threatened a person with a knife and stole money from a bank account.

A woman was arrested on Tuesday and faces numerous charges, including ones in connection to damaging property and threatening a person with a knife in Westbury in 2015, police say.

According to authorities, 39-year-old Claudine Ebanks, a self-employed home health aide from Waterbury, CT, was involved in a disturbance on Harmony Lane on Aug. 7, 2015 at 2:02 a.m. Police say she intentionally broke three exterior air conditioner units owned by an individual. Police say she then threatened a resident with a large kitchen knife when confronted. Ebanks fled the scene before authorities arrived, police say.

An investigation then revealed Ebanks withdrew money from the individual's bank account on Oct. 16, 2015, police say.
