Knifepoint Robbery By 2 Men On Bike In New Cassel: Police

The men fled the scene and are sought by police.

NEW CASSEL, NY — A man was robbed Monday morning in New Cassel, Nassau police said.

Just before 6:30 a.m., the 30-year-old male victim was walking on Monitor Street near Roman Avenue when he was approached by two men on one bicycle, police said.

When the victim refused to give then cash, a small knife was displayed at the victim, police said.

The victim handed his backpack containing cash and multiple personal items, authorities said. The men fled the scene on their bicycle northbound.

The victim was not injured.
