Man In Critical Condition After Being Struck By Car In Hicksville

A man is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Hicksville on Tuesday night, police say.

According to authorities, a 61-year-old man was crossing S. Broadway at W. Marie Street when he was struck by a 2015 Lexus traveling southbound at 7:15 p.m.

The man suffered multiple trauma injuries and was taken to an area hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

The driver of the Lexus, a 23-year-old man, remained at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
