Man Drove Drunk With 2 Teens In Car On Halloween: Police

The 22-year-old had slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet, police say.

A New Cassel man was arrested for driving drunk with two teenagers in the car on Wednesday night, police say.

According to authorities, 22-year-old Angel Maldonado was pulled over after he failed to maintain a single lane while driving a tan 2000 Mazda MPV in New Cassel at 10:35 p.m.

Police say he had slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. Maldonado then exited the car and was unsteady on his feet, police say. He was placed under arrest without incident.

Two 15-year-olds were found to be in the car at time time of the vehicle and traffic law investigation. Police drove the teens home.

Maldonato was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.

He will be arraigned on Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
