Man Killed In Early New Year's Day New Cassel Shooting: Police

NEW CASSEL, NY — A man was found shot and killed in New Cassel on New Year's Day, police said.
Nassau County police said officers responded to Railroad Avenue in the vicinity of Siegel Street, where they found the 40-year-old man.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced by hospital staff, police said.

NCPD said the shooting occurred at approximately 2:05 a.m. and the investigation is ongoing.
