Man Shot BB Gun At Drivers On Northern State: Police

A Westbury man who fired a BB gun at vehicles on the Northern State Parkway was also found to be in possession of a loaded handgun on Friday afternoon, police say.

According to authorities, Hakiem Francis, 20, was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima eastbound on the Northern State Parkway and firing a BB gun at other motorists around 1:20 p.m. Nassau Police first responded to a call for shots fired that originated from NYC jurisdiction.

Francis was located in his car that was parked in his driveway. Police say they recovered a BB gun as well as a loaded handgun.

Francis was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm. He will be arraigned Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead.
