A Massapequa man faces drug possession, burglary and grand larceny charges after he stole tools and cash from his Hicksville employer on Friday morning, police say.

According to authorities, two employees were waiting to open AAAA-1 Towing, located at 112 Duffy Ave., when they saw their co-worker, 38-year-old Robert Marcotrigiano, loading up various company tools into his 2016 Dodge and leaving in his car at 7:30 a.m. Marcotrigiano later returned and a manager notified the authorities after multiple tools and $1,900 in cash were found to be missing, police say.

Marcotrigiano was arrested without incident. Following a search of his residential garage on Ontario Avenue, police say they recovered the missing tools, as well as a plastic bag containing a brownish colored powder believed to be heroin. One 8mg Suboxone sublingual film was also recovered from his vehicle, police say.
