Medical Marijuana Dispensary Opens In Nassau

A medical marijuana dispensary celebrated its grand opening in Carle Place on Friday, Jan. 4.

Curaleaf, which operates 35 dispensaries across the country, is located at 255 Glen Cove Road. This is the third medical marijuana dispensary to open on Long Island; the others are located in Lake Success and Riverhead.

"Curaleaf’s Carle Place location will provide patients in Long Island with high-quality medical cannabis used to help patients suffering from ailments including cancer, opioid addiction, PTSD, among others," the organization said in a press release. "The newest location will also manage a range of free educational programs such as health seminars led by medical professionals and yoga classes."

Curaleaf has three other New York dispensaries in Newburgh, Plattsburgh and Forest Hills, Queens.
