NYC Man Injured Woman In Crash While Driving Stolen Car: Police
Police say he had struck a parked car before hitting the second car, then fled the scene on foot.

NEW CASSEL, NY — A Bronx man was arrested Thursday afternoon after Nassau County police say he fled from a crash he caused while driving a stolen car.
George Drummer, 29, was driving a 2019 Toyota Tundra near Old Country Road and Post Avenue just after 3 p.m. on Thursday when police say he struck a 2023 Toyota Camry, causing severe damage.
The driver of the Camry, a 20-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries. A 6-year-old passenger in the car was not injured.

Drummer fled the scene on foot, but was found by officers in a parking lot in Westbury and was arrested without incident, police said.
An investigation found that Drummer had also struck a parked, unoccupied car on Bryant Street in New Cassel, causing heavy damage to the car, and fled the scene, police said. It was also found that the car was stolen from a parking lot in New Cassel, police said, but had not yet been reported missing.

Drummer is charged with second-degree grand larceny, second-degree criminal possession of stolen property, driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an incident. He is scheduled to be arraigned today in First District Court in Hempstead.
