Overdose Investigation Leads To Arrest Of Drug Dealer: Nassau Police

Police say he sold drugs responsible for a fatal overdose in Hicksville.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A Nassau County man was arrested after police say investigations into drug overdoses led to him as the seller.

According to police, detectives were investigating a fatal and non-fatal drug overdoses that occurred in Hicksville. Police say the investigation led to the arrest of Calvin Beider, 41, of Garden City Park. He was arrested without incident.

Beider is charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today in First District Court in Hempstead.
