Overnight Robbery, Assault Leaving 7-Eleven In Nassau: Police

HICKSVILLE, NY — A man was assaulted and robbed early Monday in Hicksville, police said.

The 31-year-old victim was leaving 7-Eleven on East Old Country Road just before 3:30 a.m. when he was approached by an unknown man who struck him in the head with a blunt object, police said.

He took the victim's e-bike and fled the scene westbound on East Old Country Road, police said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, police said.

An investigation is ongoing.
