• Middle Schoolers Get Creative, Modern Literature Classics Brought To Life With Showcase (patch.com) — Hicksville families can stop by the middle school library to see “Journey Through Epic Tales,” where students have transformed modern literary classics into imaginative artwork. The Hicksville Middle School showcase features creative interpretations of books like “The Odyssey” and “The Little Prince,” each paired with student-written reflections that explain their ideas and inspirations. 
• House Fire In Hicksville, Local Crews Respond: FD (patch.com) — Hicksville residents may have noticed emergency crews on Elliot Drive Sunday afternoon, when a house fire drew responses from Bethpage, Hicksville, Wantagh, and Levittown fire departments. All four occupants safely evacuated, and firefighters contained the second-floor blaze in about 30 minutes while investigators continue to look into the cause.
