The 50-year-old suspect faces multiple robbery and menacing charges and was arraigned Wednesday in Hempstead, offering residents closure on the recent incidents. 
• Hicksville Water District commissioners honored by chamber of commerce (longislandpress.com) — Two longtime Hicksville Water District leaders have been honored for decades of hands-on service to local residents. Chairman Nicholas Brigandi and Commissioner William Schuckmann received the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce’s Community Service Award, recognizing their extensive volunteer work with the fire department, civic groups, and local charities that directly support Hicksville families and neighborhood infrastructure.
• Westbury Man Indicted For Selling And Possessing Various Narcotics: DA (patch.com) — Nassau County prosecutors say a Westbury man was arrested in Hicksville and later indicted on dozens of charges tied to alleged drug dealing and explosives found in his home. Investigators report seizing large quantities of fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, and a powerful synthetic opioid, along with explosive devices and counterfeit money. The case could carry a lengthy prison term if he’s convicted.
