Person Hit, Killed By Train Near Hicksville: MTA
Officials say the incident shut down service for more than two hours.
HICKSVILLE, NY — A person was killed after they were hit by a train near the Hicksville railroad station Wednesday night, the MTA said.
According to MTA officials, a person was hit and killed by an eastbound train, east of the Hicksville station, at 8:05 p.m.
Service was completely shut down in both directions between Hicksville and Ronkonkoma for more than two hours. Shuttle bus service was running between the two stations.

The MTA said that partial service was restarted at 10:20 p.m., and full service was restored at 11 p.m.
Police are still investigating the incident. The person who was killed has not yet been publicly identified.
