Police Seek Info On Assault Outside Bethpage Bar

Authorities are looking for information on an assault that occurred outside a Bethpage bar on Sunday morning.

Police say a 29-year-old man was sitting in the front passenger seat of a parked vehicle after leaving The Living Room, located at 286 Wantagh Ave., when two unknown men approached the vehicle at 4 a.m. One of the men reached through the window and grabbed two gold chains off the passenger's neck, police say. He was then struck in the head with a bottle after exiting the vehicle, police say.

The man suffered a laceration and a contusion to his head. He was taken in a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a nearby local hospital for treatment. The proceeds were not recovered.

The two individuals fled the scene southbound in a black BMW.
