Santa, Hicksville Firefighters Fulfill Wishes For Those In Need

HICKSVILLE, NY — Hicksville firefighters have come together to make Christmas merry and bright for several families in need, as they have for 27 years. The Hicksville Fire Department's Heavy Rescue Company No. 8 partnered with local churches and the Hicksville Boys and Girls Club to identify several families that could use a helping hand during the holidays. It receives wish lists from the families and proudly fulfills those wishes.

Firefighters wrap the gifts and enlist none other than Santa himself to deliver them, with heavy rescue truck No. 938 and ambulance No. 9319 serving as the big man's sleigh.

The department uses money raised money from its annual charity golf outing to make the holiday season special for the families in need.
