SUV, Pickup Crash In Hicksville; 3 Hurt, Including Child

HICKSVILLE, NY — A luxury SUV and pickup truck crashed in Hicksville on Sunday morning, leaving three people — including a child — hurt. A Mercedes-Benz SUV and Nissan pickup truck collided at the intersection of South Broadway and West Nicholai Street around 10:30 a.m., officials said.

The injured were rushed to Nassau University Medical Center with threatening injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening.

The Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the crash and the southbound lanes of Broadway remained closed for about 40 minutes while crews worked.

Firefighters applied speedy dry to a large spill on the roadway.
