Teen Dies After Being Hit By Car: Nassau Police
Police say the teen was riding his skateboard along the roadway when he was hit Thursday afternoon.
UPDATE: The teen, identified as Gerrin Hagen, of Long Beach, died from his injuries on Jan. 13, police said.
HICKSVILLE, NY — A teenager is in critical condition after being hit by a car Thursday afternoon in Hicksville, Nassau County police said.
The 18-year-old boy was riding his skateboard west on Cantiague Lane, near Robbins Lane, when police said he was hit by a 2012 Honda Pilot being driven by a 19-year-old man.

The teen was taken to a hospital and was listed in critical condition. The driver remained at the scene.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
